Personal Training Options
Groups are 3-6 people working
out together with a trainer. Some groups
have a specific theme or goal, and some are just regular workouts. All

credit card on file for pre-billing; all classes also offer a free "try
before
you buy" workout. Each class costs $23 per session times however many
sessions in the month. You may sign up for a partial class ( 1 day

Mike is an avid golfer and Titleist Performance Institute
(TPI) Certified Golf Fitness Instructor, Level 1. The TPI program is
featured on the Golf Channel. He will run you through a Golf Fitness
Assessment for posture, balance, strength, flexibility, mobility and
stability. If you have a swing coach or pro, he will discuss the
results and their implications with him or her and get feedback about
your swing priorities. Based on the results and this consultation, he
will assign exercises for you and teach you how to do them. After these
initial 2 meetings, you may choose to purchase one of our Personal
Fitness Packages to continue with Mike or you can workout on your own.
Weight
Loss
Weight loss is simple - eat
less, move more - but it's not easy. We have found that attacking both
sides of that equation works best.
We believe that eating regular foods, well-balanced and in the right
amounts, is the way to go on the eating side. No supplements are
needed, except maybe a multi-vitamin. There are a number of good
programs available, including Weight Watchers. We sell BioMetrics which
is a 6 week plan developed and customized for your by dietitians that
tells you what and how much to eat for every meal and snack. While not
for everyone, it is effective for the right person.
On the exercise side, we get people moving throughout their appointment
with a mix of cardio, core and strength exercise that burns calories
and blasts fat. You add muscle and lose body fat, so you look and feel
better while improving your health.
A sampling of results from those who took the duel approach:
JP lost 35 pounds
NM dropped 10.5 inches
LL's shape improved so much that her old pants just fell off!
Osteoporosis
- Arthritis - Diabetes - Knee Problems - Bad Backs
Most of our clients have pre-existing conditions when they start
training. Some of them have let these conditions stop them from working
out in the past, but we have been able to help them exercise safely and
effectively. Ashley is a Physical Therapist and Jay is an Athletic
Trainer in their full-time jobs. Both are experienced in a Rehab
setting and are skilled at dealing with injuries and joint problems.
Gaye is certified as a Clinical Exercise Specialist, and all of us have
had plenty of clients with these and other conditions. We can help you
in the post-Rehab stage and especially in the Prehab stage (prevention).
Yoga
and Pilates
Yoga and Pilates are great ways to develop posture, core strength and
flexibility. Linda is certified to teach both Yoga and Pilates for
individuals or classes. She mainly works at the Ridgeway location but
can also make in-home visits. Since so little equipment is needed,
these are ideal exercise regimens for people with limited space or
budget.
